New to ABQ (June 2014), via California, and loving it. Not looking to date or communicate with people in other states, etc. I'm game for all kinds of fun and interesting things, since I like educating and being educated, having fun, thinking, travelling (local, domestic, international), reading, good conversation, great movies and theatre, walking, the arts, good coffee, animals (I have three dogs and six cats) and so much more. Would love to connect with someone who is: verbal, compassionate, believes in relationships as equal partnerships, loves living, travelling and... You won't find anyone more responsible, kind, honest, positive (glass half-full), generous, on time or sincere. But, I certainly don't know anyone that would consider me a "stick in the mud." (Maybe people who I don't know think I am?) I love laughing, having fun and experiencing adventures. My interests are wide and I am always up for something new. My life, to now, has been quite interesting and I look forward to continuing on that trajectory. My politics run left-of-center. I am also an Atheist and an organizer of a new secular community in ABQ, ASK (Atheist Skeptical Kingdom.) Honestly, I'm not a great cook, but do love dining out (dives and better) and don't mind being the cleaner-upper if you do like to cook. Prefer jeans, rather than dresses (though I certainly know how to dress for what.) Self-sufficient and independent, but relish having wonderful people in my life. My best girl-friend and I have been pals for 50+ years! People often think I am a very outgoing, fearless individual, but inside I am quite shy and I over-compensate. That's not to say that I don't have incredible strengths and competencies, but the social arena is not my forte. What I do know is: that no one is my "better" half, I'm not here to "make you happy" or "complete" you, I don't require being treated as a "Queen" or "Princess" and I am a woman...not a girl. What I am not into (Please do not see these as a slight...just not my interests.): Golfing, hunting, fishing, Motorcycles,bowling,camping Jumping out of airplanes (w/without parachutes), Dancing (but love to watch), Cigarettes, cigars, Misogynists, Playing cards, Mah Jong, Canasta, chess (but do like many other games like scrabble), People who use money/cars/things to impress, People who don't like animals, Shallowness, Bigotry, Right wing politics, I am probably guilt of TMI, but felt as if getting things in the open might be a good way to begin. I'm new to all this, so indulge me, please.
