. By way of introduction, my name is Stan. I am 53 years old and I live in Hot Springs (actually Diamondhead a community about halfway between Hot Springs and Malvern). I have been in Arkansas for about 12-13 years now. I am fully into my second career as an X-Ray Tech at NPMC here in Hot Springs, my previous career was as a commercial artist (primarily as a comic book artist) while I don’t draw too much anymore (occasionally) I always have a strong interest in the arts. To try to describe myself, I would say I am conscientious, responsible, attentive, and thoughtful. I have a strong interest in movies (independent film, film noir, offbeat, of course I have to watch the blockbusters as well), music (mostly thrash/hardcore, blues, and I have been branching out to folk, country, I try to keep an open mind). Well, lets go on to some things I enjoy pursuing…..if you put me in a museum I am happy as a clam (exactly how happy is a clam, anyways?), obviously I love live music, the last events I have gone to are, Riverfest, the Bluefest in Eureka Springs, Bob Segar at Alltell and Roger Waters and Rush in Dallas. I love the outdoors, I hike, canoe, do a little camping….I don’t hunt (not that I have anything against it, just not my thing)…I do try to fish on occasion. I like to travel (I don’t get to do it as much as I would like) but I have been to the Caribbean, Europe and all over the US. I would say in a lot of ways I am a conventional man, I like football, boxing, beer and in a lot of ways I’m unconventional, I like antiques, museums, shows at the ArRep, etc. Hopefully that gives you a little idea of what I’m like and might catch some interest from you.
