I love to have fun and think that we need to live each day fully as the life we have on this earth is all there is. A sense of humor is all important to a full life and nothing should be taken too seriously. The most important virtues one can have are compassion and empathy and my political views tend toward policies that help the under privileged. I believe there is a natural explanation for everything including the hard questions relating to consciousness and love to read, listen to lectures and learn about how the world works. My favorite scientist is Darwin as he has shown how any life, here or elsewhere in the universe evolves. My favorite authors are Richard Dawkins, Dan Dennett, Jared Diamond, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris & Michael Shermer. I have spent two months doing scientific research in the Galapagos with Michael Shermer and Frank Sulloway. As you can see, I have intellectual interests, but I also love the outdoors, hiking, camping in my RV & roaring along curving highways in my sports car. I also like the cinema and enjoy learning about and taking part in the interests and hobbies of others. I am looking for someone who can share my enthusiasm for enjoying and understanding all of the wonderful world around us. |
