I'm a 47 year old man, who is looking for fun companionship and intelligent, reasonable discussion or debate. I love both. I have a hard time tolerating trivial, safe conversations. Honestly, they bore me.

I devoted my work life to serving adults with disabilities for nearly 25 years. Until recently, I was the Residential Director for a social services agency in Philadelphia. The COVID crisis, like for many other Americans, made my salary untenable, so I was laid off. I'm am currently volunteering with a start-up company, which I'm hopeful will lead to another Director's position. It won't pay as much, but i've always been about the mission not the money.

I enjoy sports, particularly boxing, wrestling, and football. Writing and listening to music are two activities that give me serenity. Also, I love attending outdoor events, like concerts festival, fairs, etc. Unfortunately, COVID has stripped that joy from me, too. Laughter is truly medicine for me as well. However, I have a pitch dark sense of humor, and I feel that any word can be said and any joke should be told. This goes for any and all topics, as long as it is in context. But I know context has become an endangered species in this country. I'll put it this way, words are innocent victim's of the bigoted and those seeking power and control over others; think politics or religion.

Lastly, I am a complicated man. I've had a crazy life, but I've always persevered. I learned as a young boy that the only effective discipline is self-discipline. While I don't always have it, it is still a mantra I hold dear. Divulging my flaws feels oddly good to me, so I will tell you that if we connect on this site, I will be an open book. I promise to be candid about my interesting, sometimes loving, sometimes tumultuous love life as well. Lol. I have a great story to tell. I'm not necessarily looking for love. I'd definitely enjoy it, but, after 47+ years on this planet, I don't need it; it seems to be like Ahab's White Whale, elusive and may only be in one's imagination. Having said all that, I would like to meet a confident, loving, intelligent, fun woman; a woman who wants me in her life, but doesn't need me in her life. Full disclosure, I've been searching for that kind of woman my whole life, but to no avail. If you fit the bill, and want to get to know me better, message me.
