I am a writer and a photographer. I write short stories, essays, satire, poetry and occasionally a song. I am interested in ideas, the whys and wherefores. I am a skeptic and an agnostic. The older I get the less I know about almost everything and my agnosticism extends beyond religion into the realm of politics, human behavior and sometimes plain old everyday life. I have a reverence for nature and my fellow human beings, life on the planet. I like to think of myself as generally kind, compassionate and loyal. I'm pretty much down to earth.What you see is what you get. I'm good for a few laughs.

I enjoy the company of children and animals. I have a pretty dark and acerbic sense of humor which can be mistaken for cynical, but I am not a cynic. I have many and varied interests. I play the guitar (it was mandatory when I was growing up) a little and sing badly. I like to garden. I can be a pretty good cook when so inclined . . . I am interested in the arts. I am fascinated by all aspects of human and not so human behavior. I am passionate about good music. Not too much of a conformist. A little subversive. Unconventional. Independent. Someone who questions authority and questions those who question authority as well. A good friend.

I would like to meet a woman who is bright, creative a non-conformist with a beautiful smile who is compassionate and caring and passionate about what she does and can spare a little time to have a relationship. I do not want to interfere with anyone's life. There has to be time for you and for me and some time has to be put aside for us. I am not looking for a mother (one's way more than enough), a maid or a wet nurse. Just someone who is willing to take the time to build a relationship. Return phone calls. Show up. Little stuff like that. Be nice. That's all.

I would like to meet someone to grow old with, I am tired of fishing. I am also looking to meet interesting friends as well. One can never have too many friends. Tell me something about yourself. Stuff like that.
