I'm a 30 year old guy from North Carolina. It's been rather difficult for me to find anyone around my immediate area to connect with. I'm a very avid reader, in fact I'd say that I love reading far more than I actually like to be on the computer, but I'm pretty versed when it comes to the computer as well. I enjoy crossword puzzles, Scrabble, all manner of trivia, astronomy, physics, cosmology and classic literature. My favorite author is Voltaire, but my genres extend pretty far in literature. I have an eclectic taste in music, ranging anywhere from 1960s era psychedelic rock, on up through prog rock from the 70s...Jethro Tull, Yes, King Crimson..space rock, Pink Floyd etc, classic rock...you can just about name any band from the classic rock era and I know them, and in most cases I'll know the lyrics to a lot of their songs. My favorite band, by the way is and always has been Rush. I have a photographic memory, an IQ over 160 and I'm addicted to information. Huge Jeopardy fan...one of my ambitions in life is to be on the show. I love classic sci-fi shows like Doctor Who, the original Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek TOS, TNG, Voyager, DS9..the X-Files, huge fan of Futurama, Big Bang Theory...my favorite show of all time though, and the one I grew up watching..is Cosmos. Dr. Carl Sagan has always been one of my greatest heroes. Sagan, Einstein, Darwin, Hawking, Kaku...these are the people I most admire...I'm very observant in public, as I love to know what makes other people tick and also rather shy around women. Hawking once said that women are the greatest mystery in the universe. In my experience...it's hard to argue that point. Let's see...religion...I, like Einstein, am a deeply religious non-believer. I don't particularly like labels...but skeptic best describes me. I don't believe everything I am told or that I read simply because it's the popular opinion. Politics..I'm an Independent. I'm a huge supporter of Bernie Sanders (who in my view is the only one in Washington whom I can trust, at least)...I'm completely against all forms of oppression and injustice, completely against complacency, and hugely in favor of equality and liberty. I think that every citizen of this country should have the same exact rights as anyone else regardless of race, regardless of religious preference and regardless of political stance...and that no man should ever hold *****ion over another simply because of the doctrine he subscribes to.
