I'm a private pilot with a healthy appreciation for the fundamental principles of gravity, the theory of pressure differential and lift, along with human interaction and of course, mutual attraction. I'm 42 years old, never been married, and as best as I can tell, I have no kids. I was raised as a reform Jew, and although I am an atheist, I still consider myself Jewish, culturally speaking at least. In fact, when I was Bar Mitzvah'd at age 13, I wrote and delivered my own sermon to the temple entitled "There is no God". There is little doubt I was a quite a precocious young sonofabitch. I spend as much time as possible volunteering for a charity providing air travel to sick to children who for various reasons cannot be accommodated by the commercial carriers. These flights are provided with our own aircraft, flown entirely at our own expense. I also serve on the board of several non-profit organizations, most are political in nature but the one I enjoy most is dedicated to provided fully funded flight instruction to underprivileged teens and young adults who wouldn't have dared dream of a career in aviation otherwise. I've got other passions down at ground level, such as purchasing, restoring, and operating post-WWII streamlined railroad passenger cars. It's an unlikely hobby, but it's the greatest thrill in the world to ride the rails at 90mph in a perfectly restored Pullman art-deco club-lounge railcar. The number of railcars I've owned changes over the years, but my current situation has made me a business partners with an old friend of mine, who just happens to be a real-life in-the-flesh God-fearing born-again Christian, which surprisingly isn't generally that terrible, although this week we're arguing about the feasibility of installing a new braking system and new wheels... my argument for the installation is it's an investment that will last us for a decade. His argument however follows more along the lines of, "Why spend all that money right now, when it's clear the rapture will occur any day now. Incidentally, Jesus is always welcome aboard to ride with us. So far he's turned down every one of our invitations. It may look as though I've written a lot here (and I have), but there's a hell of a lot more to mew than what I've revealed here, and I like to think some of it is really great. That said however, I know some of it isn't. I've got my share of problems; I'm sure my ex girlfriends could provide you with a list, but all in all, I think it's safe to say I'm solid and decent guy.
