| I Would Describe Myself As | I'm a talkative guy who enjoys having a great conversation and sharing experiences with my friends. I'm almost always on the go and I'd rather do something than watch it on TV. I have minimal desire to watch sports - although I can occasionally enjoy going to a game - but if that factors largely in your life, we're probably not going to have much to talk about. On the other hand, if you're familiar with Neil deGrasse Tyson, or understand the significance of the number 42, or would enjoy accompanying me to a dark field in the middle of nowhere (no wait it gets better) so that we can view other worlds and galaxies through my telescope, then that's as good a place as any to start a conversation. Music is also a great love of my life. I play drums, I have played bass, and I try to play guitar but I'm not very good at it. I enjoy singing as well, I'd say I'm decent but not great. I do enjoy getting up and belting out some karaoke. I tend to gravitate towards harder rock/metal when listening on my own, but I also love to dance so I'm not afraid to bust out some Lil' Jon or even some old-school disco if the situation warrants it. I'm not big into country music, there's some good songs, but I can handle that best in small doses. Live music is always better, no matter what it is. I travel as a consultant for a networking company, which means I'm always checking out new towns, getting ideas for leisure travel and finding ways to spend hotel points. I love my job because of all the interaction with different people all the time - I enjoy the customer-facing aspect more than the technical side of what I do. The downsides are that I can't have a dog or play in a band. I'm somewhat sadder about the band part. |
